If you’re hunting for family dinner recipes that actually please both kids and adults, these garlic parmesan turkey nuggets are it. They’re baked, not fried, so they’re a healthier chicken nugget alternative, but they still come out golden, crispy, and cheesy — basically kid-friendly chicken nuggets that taste like chicken parm. This recipe is fast enough for a busy weeknight, easy enough for meal prep, and freezer-friendly so you can reheat them whenever you need a quick dinner idea. Think of them as the homemade version of your favorite store-bought nuggets — but with real ingredients, fresh Parmesan, and way more flavor.

This turkey nugget recipe uses simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry. Ground turkey, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and breadcrumbs come together to create a healthy dinner recipe for kids that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. Because they’re baked, these oven-baked turkey nuggets are lighter than traditional fried chicken nuggets but still have that crunchy, crave-worthy coating. They’re a great option for family meals on busy weeknights, kid-friendly lunches, or even an easy freezer meal prep recipe.

These garlic parmesan turkey nuggets aren’t just for kids — they’re a crowd-pleasing appetizer for adults, too. Serve them with marinara for that chicken parm nugget vibe, or pair them with ranch or garlic aioli if you want to switch things up.
Swaps & Substitutes
- Breadcrumbs — Go for panko for the crunchiest crust, or use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed. (Tip: pulse GF panko in a blender for a finer texture.)
- Ground Meat — Ground chicken, pork, or even beef work just as well.
- Cheese — Pecorino Romano boosts the salt and tang, or leave cheese out and amp up the garlic herb combo for a dairy-free version.
- Dipping Sauce — Marinara is classic, but these nuggets also pair beautifully with ranch, vodka sauce, garlic aioli, or even buffalo sauce depending on what you’re craving.
