Cheeseburger Dip
Ingredients
- Olive oil for pan
- 1 white onion small dice
- 1 cup dill pickles finely chopped
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- Pinch of kosher salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices American cheese chopped into small pieces
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 3 tbsp mayo
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tbsp yellow mustard
- Chopped scallion for garnish
Equipment
- 12 inch cast iron skillet
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add a swirl of olive oil and toss in the diced onion. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Increase heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks.
- Stir in the chopped pickles, cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar, and American cheese pieces. Mix until all the cheese has melted and the dip is smooth and creamy.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the skillet and top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Transfer to the oven and bake for 20 minutes. For a golden-brown cheesy crust, broil on high for 1-2 minutes until bubbly and slightly crispy on top.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped scallions. Serve hot with tortilla chips, toasted bread, or even veggie sticks!
