Healthified Chicken Parm Flax Pizza (Gluten-Free)
Quality Italian's chicken parm pizza taken to a healthy next level! I made the fried chicken crust healthier, and used ground chicken and flax seeds. Then, I baked it and topped it with tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese, and some fresh mozzarella and basil.
|3 1/2cups ground chicken|
|3/4cup flaxseed meal|
|1cup marinara sauce|
|4slices fresh mozzarella cheese|
|1/4cup Parmesan cheese|
|1/4cup fresh basil|
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a circle cake pan. If you don't have a circle cake pan, you can also just form the mixture into a circle with your hands on a normal cookie sheet. I used the pan to make that perfect edge.
In a food processor, combine the ground chicken, flaxseed meal, eggs, oregano, salt and pepper in a bowl, until a "dough" forms.
Spread the chicken dough contents out on your greased cake pan to form your thin chicken layer “crust.” Bake in the oven for 1 hour or until cooked.
Top with your marinara sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded parmesan and fresh basil. Broil on high until cheese is melted. Enjoy!
